So! For one, thank you so much for choosing that particular piece for a musical composition. I love what you made here!

I wish you had messaged me so we could perhaps speak a bit about the tone of the image and story relating to it so it could be more wholly reflected. While I love what you have made, its a bit too high energy.

I find the 2nd half of the composition superior and far closer to what I imagined the sound design for this particular tale would entail. Its quite lovely with a haunting implications, if just a little too uplifting for so terrible an event as warfare. I frankly wish that segment received more attention and elaboration.

The overall piece is a real treat to hear, and I am happy to have heard another piece from you based on my stuff! Please feel free to message me in the future if you're looking for new ideas!

SmokeAvery responds:

Appreciate the review! Very awesome art piece you made. Had alot of fun. I wasn't sure by the rules if I was allowed to communicate to you about the art beforehand.

Still one of my favorite tunes on Newgrounds.

DanJohansen responds:

Glad it is still appreciated 4 years later

The melody here was absolutely beautiful and entrancing. At about 1:32 or so I felt there was a slight bit too much reverb added. And in my opinion, the choir segment was a little too muddled to understand some of the lyric.

That said, this was an absolute treat to listen to. Thank you for creating it.

Troisnyx responds:

Thank you for listening, and for your forthcoming, honest review -- I truly appreciate it! <3

You’ve got a serious taste for comedic timing man. In addition, your vocal range seems quite broad and the enthusiasm in your performances are palpable. You deserve some work.

I’d like to hear some more dramatic performances as well. You’ve got good over the top performances. I’m curious to hear your more reserved performances.

DrEojPuerte responds:

Thank you sir! I've never really done too much serious work but I'll definitely keep it in mind for future demos and the like!

But them some super kind words my mans thank you so much!:D

I love the synthetics of this piece as well as the mood it sets.Sorry, I'm not so good with audio terminology. But boy, is it far too quiet.
Was that intentional?

SentinalMusicInc responds:

Yeah it was, this wasn't too loud of a loud song as I wanted to sound dark and have an epic mafia sound to it. Idk why, but I just love the old mafia days with T-model Ford getaway cars and the Tommy Guns oh and the cold m1911 pistols! It was just so epic back then!

My opinion in a nutshell: it's actually got my blood pumping when I imagined the music in context to a scene I thought of. It's a well orchestrated piece that hit all the right notes... It just lacked that one little segment where it hit a substantial "peak" you know? It's missing only a FEW higher notes that held it back from being great to amazing.

I loved it, overall. You earned a follower.

LawnReality responds:

Thanks! I'll take your advice on board for future tracks of this nature.

The overall feeling you've managed to deliver here is so palpably peaceful. I imagine a hero has just conquered some great feat and is stepping back and reveling in the fact it's over.

You're quite talented, I say that honestly.

LawnReality responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you like the track.

Wow. The pure amount of different tones, accents, and personas you are able to pull off without technical tampering is a hell of a feat. Gotta say I am thoroughly impressed! Advertise yourself and get some projects under your belt! I can't really see any videos you've been in here, unless they're on a different site?
Still, excellent work and good advice!

CarlTheVoiceactor responds:

Thanks for the compliment :D! I am working on some more in depth demo reels and hope to have those out soon (including video of me at the mic and such)! I also plan to keep expanding with more narration stories as well as trying to branch out to different animators/game makers/companies to advertise myself. Thanks for the suggestion and the review again :)!

I can see this being used in a 16-bit RPG. This is actually very well made.
I saw your post on the front page. Is this the piece? If so, you have a right to be proud!
Keep it up man, you can only get better from here !

TheMightyCelt responds:

Hey thanks buddy yeh my buddy is actually working on the sequal to it now so hes more motivated than ever.

I'm listening to this as I animate here.
Bro, this is haunting. And I love every second of it.
I'm going to follow you.

Mich responds:

Thanks very much; I'm glad you enjoy the piece. :-)
